Perhaps, the most important responsibility we have in life is becoming the best possible version of yourself - giving everything you've got and getting just as much back from life. But what does that even mean? Well, we're going to break it down for you now; telling you why it's so important to pursue this goal (and how), then answer some common questions people have about becoming your best self.
Embrace your True Self.
It is our own responsibility to become who we are meant for this world. For some of us, that includes embracing all aspects of ourselves - from the outer to the innermost self. It really starts with getting to know yourself. Whether we have a meditation practice or not, it's important to put aside time every day to reflect on what makes up our true selves. What do we want? Who do we want to be? These questions can go deeper than just school and work; they're about discovering the parts of us too timid or afraid to speak up when those around us tell us otherwise. The answers always lie within ourselves- inside waiting patiently- if only we were willing enough to find them out.
Make space for creativity; engage in activities that make you feel alive and excited; and take time every day to focus on yourself. Spend time outdoors, exercise regularly, and practice mindfulness exercises like meditation or yoga to bring clarity to your thoughts. These things will help you feel connected with your innermost self - making it easier to get in touch with the real You.
This process of connecting to your deepest heart's desires is crucial because many of us go through life carrying goals and dreams we never really wanted at all - they were just habitual patterns created from societal and family pressures. When you begin paying attention - whether through deep relaxation or while being still enough to actually hear what it is you want, you’ll start to hear whispers. It may take a little time, though the more you take care of yourself, the more you listen, the kinder you are, the more connection you will feel with the true voice within. Reaching Out or Getting Out.
Connecting deeply to your true self is a journey. One that will stir emotions, realizations and memories. It’s also a journey that can be made easier with the right circle around you. Yes, on this journey, support can be invaluable. Support in the form of new friendships, coaches, healers, and communities. Once you find it, you'll find that while the journey might force you out of your comfort zone, the opportunity for greater personal growth, meaningful connections and self-love will make even not getting everything you wanted seem less important than continuing on with this process of living fully into what's possible. And – one of the best ways to start this whole process is by attending an empowering retreat. As we've shared before...
Setbacks Remember, life is a journey full of twists and turns - some harder than others. There are many times when we get stuck or slowed down by unexpected setbacks. But no one gets through without them; difficulties are simply an inevitable part of the process. Every time you come across something that slows you down, remind yourself that it's okay to take a break while reaching for what really matters to you. And most importantly? Reach out for help from somebody who knows how to listen and understand. No matter how challenging your situation may seem, small steps make big gains- in both miles walked and character gained! These little roadblocks might be trying at first but eventually, their pace will ease off as your skills improve. So don't give up- there's always hope ahead! As you may know - setbacks are designed for comebacks and breakdowns for breakthroughs.
Commit.
Until one commits, hesitation resides.
As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe famously said, until one commits, there is hesitancy; the chance to draw back - concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.
Once committed, momentum starts working its wonders. Once you take that first step towards action, it builds up its momentum and gradually shifts your reality - everything falls into place even when unsure how or where they were before. Fear no longer keeps us away from deciding to move forward. We know where the path leads; ahead towards an open ending, a magical life, filled with synchronicities and a knowing that anything we desire is possible.
Pursue your desires.
We all have our own path, and no two are alike. There is merit in understanding this reality; appreciating what we were given as humans.
Pursuing one's desires means living a life that makes sense to us. Take the time to know yourself - what you desire most and how you want to make a difference in the world around you. Think about how you might contribute; both personally or for those around us-and set goals accordingly that will empower you through pursuing your desires. Include those who share these aspirations so they may sparkle brighter than ever before-an inspiring reminder of why we do what we do at times when it feels impossible. You'll be taking the risks needed while feeling empowered – if surrounded by passionate souls wanting just one thing-to live their lives with purpose too!
How do you ever know if you are the best that you can possibly be?
It comes down to evaluating where you stand now and determining whether or not you've truly pushed yourself as far as possible. As humans, we all have thoughts about what else we could've done- but this is usually based off of others' accomplishments and societal norms. Ultimately, it's up to each individual person to decide where they fall on the spectrum of success- because there are some who will always push themselves farther than anyone else might think they can go. This means reflecting on strengths and weaknesses and figuring out ways to improve oneself (and take care of those hang-ups). Challenging oneself and stepping outside one's comfort zone- seeing just how much one can accomplish with hard work... And finally, living a life of meaning; so that when looking back at what was accomplished, there isn't anything left unsaid or undone.
Only by pushing yourself past the boundaries of what you thought was possible will you be able to reach the highest level of self-fulfillment and personal growth. This means that while it can be daunting to take risks and try new things, it’s essential in order to get closer to the best version of yourself.
Is it always about pursuing one's goals at all costs? No. We are human beings and not human doings! There will never be a point when we can say, I've done enough. While it's important to strive to become the best version of ourselves, we mustn't forget that we are more than our careers or achievements. Our real worth lies in other areas too: thinking, feeling, experiencing life - this is where self-worth is found.
We're capable of achieving so much more than people say defines success; yet they tell us otherwise. We can find joy in simple moments; provide love and support to others; and care for those who may have gone through something different than us because these are the things that matter most. In these moments you'll find your true worth—you will know you're loved, accepted and supported for being exactly who you are.
Find time for yourself, to rest, to appreciate yourself and all that you have accomplished. You are more than just your achievements; you are a valuable human being.
Is being my best self just the result of doing what I love? Yes, it is! The secret to finding happiness in life is not about becoming someone else's idea of perfect, but rather finding what fulfills you and pursuing those passions.
When we're living out our passions, we're much more engaged, inspired, and motivated. Doing things that make us happy also gives us access to our unique skills and abilities—something most people never explore because they think they need a degree or some other qualification before they can try something new.
And while success doesn't come without hard work, dedication, or perseverance sometimes (life rarely does), if you keep going even when everything seems too difficult; sooner or later you'll find success. It might be difficult at first to identify any mental barriers holding you back from reaching your full potential - which means taking time for introspection - but once these beliefs have been identified and replaced with empowering ones- life becomes easier than ever before.
In short, the best version of yourself is found through doing what you love and committing to it wholeheartedly. Live your life with purpose, setting goals and working hard to achieve them. And don't forget to have fun along the way!
