LUMINATE
A New Moon Sound Journey
LUMINATE is an immersive New Moon sound journey and collaborative mandala creation with Sonya Belisle & Capri Pinto at Sedonya.
Through sacred sound, feminine resonance, and intentional creation, we gather beneath the energy of the new moon to reconnect with the light that remains within us — even in times of darkness and transition.
Featuring crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, voice, percussion, drums, and a 150-year-old Myanmar gong, this multidimensional evening invites deep restoration, inner clarity, beauty, connection, and renewal.

Your Guides

Sonya Belisle
Sound Healer & Ceremonialist
Sonya, owner and operator of the Sedonya Conscious Living Center, has been facilitating holistic healing for over 25 years. Her diverse background includes work as a raw vegan chef and culinary arts teacher, Holistic Health & Life Coach, and instructor in yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong. She brings this rich experience into her sound healing and ceremonial offerings, creating spaces of deep restoration and connection.
A Note from Hazrat Inayat Khan
Sound is the force of creation, the true whole. Music then becomes the voice of the great cosmic oneness and therefore the optimal way to reach this final state of healing.

Capri Pinto
Sound Healer
Capri is a Sedona-based sound practitioner who weaves crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, and percussion into immersive sonic landscapes. Her offerings blend resonant frequencies with guided meditation to support deep restoration and inner clarity.
A Note from Capri Pinto
Sound has a way of moving through the places we hold tight. I approach each session as an offering — creating space for you to soften, release, and remember what's already whole within you.
Insight · Worth Knowing Anyway
The Gong Predates Arizona Statehood
Tonight's instruments carry more history than most people realize — and the timing isn't arbitrary either.
150 Years of Sound
The Myanmar gong used in this journey is roughly 150 years old — meaning it was already decades old when Arizona became a state in 1912.
Why the Dark Moon
Across cultures from ancient Babylon to Hindu lunar calendars, the invisible new moon has consistently been treated as a time for setting intentions rather than celebrating — it's the one lunar phase you can't see, which is part of its symbolic pull.
A Mandala Undone
In Tibetan Buddhist practice, sand mandalas are ritually destroyed the moment they're finished, to honor impermanence — tonight's collaborative mandala carries a gentler version of that same idea: something beautiful made together, not to last forever.

Testimonials
Voices from the Room
Creating the mandala together as a group while the sound washed over us was unlike anything I've experienced. We made something beautiful out of collective intention.
That 150-year-old gong is otherworldly. I felt it in my bones long after the session ended.
Sonya and Capri's presence together creates something I can only call reverent. New moon nights here have become sacred to me.
