Insight · Worth Knowing Anyway

Instruments From Two Very Different Eras

The symphony you'll hear tonight spans thousands of years of instrument-making in one sitting.

01

One of the World's Oldest Instruments

The didgeridoo is believed to be at least 1,500 years old, originating with Aboriginal Australians, and is played using circular breathing — inhaling through the nose while continuing to exhale through the mouth without a break in sound.

02

A 25-Year-Old Instrument

The handpan, by contrast, was only invented in 2000 in Switzerland — meaning tonight's soundscape pairs one of humanity's oldest instruments with one of its newest.

03

Deliberately Out of Tune

Unlike a bell, a gong is built to produce inharmonic, layered overtones rather than a single clean note — that 'wash' of sound is intentional, and it's why a gong feels enveloping rather than melodic.

Why Attend

Why Attend

A powerful symphony of gongs, crystal bowls, flutes, didgeridoos, handpans, and drums helps release heavy, stored energy.

Restore

Layered vibration and soaring vocals guide the nervous system back into balance.

Return

Surrender fully into sound and awaken a deeper sense of peace and presence.

Special Instructions

Before yousurrender

A few small preparations — so your body can fully receive this two-hour immersion.

I

Arrive early

Please arrive 15 minutes before start to claim your spot on the floor and get settled — this is a lying-down journey, so where you set up matters.

II

What to bring

A mat, blanket, and pillow are essential — you'll be reclining for the full two hours. Bring an eye mask if you have one, and layers, as the body cools quickly once still.

III

What to wear

Soft, loose clothing with nothing restrictive at the waist or throat. This is a full-body surrender experience, so comfort matters more than anything else.

Testimonials

Voices from the Room

Two hours flew by. I've never experienced sound layered like that — gongs, flutes, handpans, all woven into one wave that just carried me.
Miles D.
Three Trees' voice alone is worth the ticket. I left feeling like something heavy had physically lifted off me.
Adrienne S.
The Cathedral Room acoustics plus this much instrumentation was completely immersive. I'm still processing everything I felt.
Julian R.
