The Temple

Some rooms ask you to fill them. This one asks you to empty out.

The Temple, Sedonya — Sedona, Arizona

The Soul of Sedonya

Not Silence.
Quiet

Walk in, and the first thing you'll notice is the quiet. Not silence — quiet. The kind that has weight.

Eight walls. A ceiling that pulls your eyes up before you've decided to look. Light moving through the windows in patterns that change with the hour, so the room never quite looks the same twice. Some people feel something here they can't quite name — like the land itself is a little more present, a little easier to hear.

Monks have sat in this room. Sand mandalas have been built here, grain by grain, then swept away. People have prayed here, been blessed here, said goodbye to things here. None of that is on display. But it's still in the room — you can feel it the moment you walk in.

Enter gently. This room has held a lot. Let it hold you the same way.

What the Room Has Held

A History, Felt

The Temple doesn't display what it has witnessed. But nothing that has happened here has quite left, either.

Visiting the Temple

No Longer Rented

We no longer rent the Temple out. During retreats, guests are sometimes invited in — for a few quiet minutes, a meditation, a small moment of ceremony. It is never a stop on a tour, and never on display.

All we ask: enter gently. This room has held a lot. Let it hold you the same way.

About the Room

If you're joining us for a retreat, ask your facilitator about a quiet visit to the Temple. We can't promise it for every group — but we'll always tell you honestly if it's possible.
